This recess rules behavior sort will help with clearly explaining and modeling all expectations for student behavior on the playground. Sorting good choices and poor choices together as a class will help you communicate clear expectations and to help students make good choices at recess. This SEL activity is the perfect springboard for modeling or role-playing various recess scenarios in an age-appropriate way, builds community, and aligns with the PBIS and Responsive Classroom frameworks.
